Purpose of the job

This role forms part of our global knowledge management team and involves working across our global jurisdictions to support our legal practice teams in the delivery of client services.The role will focus on providing legal tools which support efficient and effective legal operations.These may be a combination of legal workflows and matter maps, document automation, client portals and knowledge databases.The role will be key to translating the firms' legal operational needs into fit for purpose pragmatic solutions for our lawyers and their clients.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Using Contract Express to automate new documents and maintain existing automated suites of documents
  • Developing, maintaining and managing knowledge team client solutions, where required
  • Managing the CPL and working with legal teams to migrate precedents to automation
  • Working across the firm to embed our house style and ensure brand consistency for clients
  • Delivering inductions for new starters on our products and services
  • Maintaining the products knowledge base, project documentation and training materials
  • Developing online matter maps to support legal teams in the delivery of client work
  • Assisting in the training and supervision of trainees during their placement with the knowledge team
  • Producing documents and updates on projects and systems usage and keeping up to date with legal KM trends
  • Managing strong relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and suppliers
  • Assisting with implementation of new knowledge platforms and their integration with other business systems
  • Covering for the absences of other team members
  • Any other duties as required by the Head of Knowledge

 

 Knowledge/skills/experience

  • Experience working in an offshore law firm in a similar role or as a paralegal in a practice area
  • Keen interest and aptitude for using technology in a law firm setting
  • Experience of dealing with stakeholders, suppliers, lawyers and business services professionals
  • Experience of using legal tech solutions such as Contract Express or similar
  • User centric approach to services and commercial awareness
  • Able to represent the team and the firm professionally and positively both internally and externally
