Our Finance team is busy and we're currently implementing a new system, Aderant. Whilst this is taking place, we're looking for some help.

The Finance team is based in Jersey but there is the option to work remotely from the UK if you have the right skills and experience.

A typical day in our Finance team will vary depending on your experience, but everyone will be expected to:

  • Deal with a range of tasks/enquiries from the Finance helpdesk.
  • Contribute to overall effectiveness of the department by interaction/communication with colleagues.
  • Complete ad hoc project work as required to support the department/group, and implementation of the new Aderant system.
  • Provide absence cover for other members of the Finance Team.
  • Post and maintain records in our main practice management system.
  • Assist Bedell Cristin staff with billing runs, including raising invoices and proformas
  • Run reports and any other breakdowns for staff as necessary.

If you've got a bit more experience, we'd also be looking for you to help with:

  • Processing and delivering a range of core management reports on a regular/monthly basis for fee earners, practice areas and the partnership as a whole
  • Liaising with business heads to identify and implement measures to improve various finance processes across the firm.
  • Completion of statutory and any regulatory returns (including VAT and GST)
  • Taking responsibility for specific project related activities

We're looking for a few specific skills and qualifications, and work experience, which include:

  • Prior experience in a Finance team is essential
  • Previous experience with Aderant is desirable
  • Confidence with IT, with solid MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
